The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

The Good
Mikko, Clutterbuck and Stoner returned to the lineup for tonight's game in Vancouver.  Mikko gets a goal and 2 assists.  Stoner gets an assist.

The Bad
Wild's play-off chances after going 0-3 in this 4 game road trip so far.  The team is now sitting in 11th place, 5 points from the 8 seed.  The Wild don't play again until Thursday...in San Jose.

The Ugly
Niklas Backstrom's goaltending and the Wild's power play.

Rah, rah, rah...sis boom bah.  The homer announcers and Todd Richards tried to put a good spin on how terrific the Wild played after the first period.  The team, specifically Backstrom and our penalty killers, sucked so bad during the first 20 minutes there was just no coming back from it.  Not when you're playing the number one team in the conference who just happen to have the best power play in the league - and they proved it twice in the first period.  And if the Wild played so awesomely well during the second and third period how come they couldn't convert on six power plays - one of which was a 5-3?
